Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Civil Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on experience for our Alexandria office. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of local, state, federal, and environmental regulations. You will be responsible for leading projects from conception through funding, design, and construction, providing technical expertise, project management, and budget oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage projects from conception throughconstruction.
· Design and oversee construction administration, ensuringprojects are completed on time and within budget.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federalregulations, as well as environmental standards.
· Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and manageproject budgets.
· Prepare fundingapplications to various state and federal funding agencies.
· Administer contracts, oversee construction progress, andensure resource management is efficient.
· Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other software to developdesigns and technical drawings.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients,contractors, and regulatory agencies.
· Develop and maintain project documentation, includingreports and submittals.
· Manage and mentor junior engineers and support staff.
· Handle conflict resolution, maintain strong relationshipswith stakeholders, and ensure high standards of ethics and integrity.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering orrelated field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) inLouisiana or licensed in another state with the ability to obtain a Louisianalicense within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of local, state, andfederal regulations as well as environmental compliance.
• Experience with project management,including budget management, cost estimation, contract administration, andscheduling.
• Experience with funding agencies, such asUSDA-Rural Development, DEQ Clean Water State Revolving Fund, LDH DrinkingWater Revolving Loan Fund, Louisiana Water Sector Program, State CapitalOutlay, Louisiana Community Development Block Grants, LGAP/CWEF, FAA and LADOTD.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, andMicrosoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, andcommunication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong time management skills, with theability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Conflict resolution skills and ateam-oriented mindset.
• A commitment to ethical conduct andprofessional integrity.
• Ability to work collaboratively within thecompany’s culture and contribute positively to the team environment.
